Yes, Mateo with one “t”. I’m 25 years old and I grew up in Viterbo, I am nearly bilingual – Italian/ English – and my life goal is to wipe out nearly. I’m motivated to always give more, and detail-oriented. I see myself working in a multicultural and fast-changing work environment.
I am a Junior Graphic Designer at Pezzilli & Company, an agency specialised in strategic consulting and integrated communication in particular within the higher education sector. We work also with professional firms, institutions, public and private organisations.
I studied Graphic & Web Design at ABC Formazione/ Rekuest Web Agency in Rome. I am an Adobe Certified Associate Visual Design Specialist (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), plus I have a Certification in Web Authoring using Adobe Dreamweaver. Before becoming a Visual Designer, my interests and personality brought me away from home to experience a more stimulating environment.
After attending high school with a specialisation in modern languages, I improved my English proficiency spending six months at EF Education First in Brisbane, Australia. A rewarding experience!
Later on, I started studying at an American liberal arts college in the heart of Rome, John Cabot University. Majoring in Communications helped me develop a creative personality with a critical eye, while minoring in Business Administration brought out the pragmatic part of me. I experienced an inspiring and multicultural environment, where I found the American teaching styles more profitable and the learning process very practical.
During my undergraduate program, I studied abroad through an exchange program at California State University Long Beach, where I became a more confident and enterprising student. My love for Australia brought me back to Melbourne after university for a new experience for me: being an Au Pair on the other side of the world made me much more responsible.
My family and friends mean a lot to me; they say I am always around to explore, I visited 17 countries of the world, I can’t even imagine how many I have left! I am always taking pictures, I enjoy working and playing with kids, I admire different cultures, and I love the adrenaline the American TV shows give me. My last brilliant idea was to start studying Japanese. I’m fond of fruit and chocolate!
